Therefore we have an integrated system in place, that protects our employees, our neighborhood and the environment. The responsible and integrated QHSE-Management of all substances handled by Akzo Nobel Bitterfeld is guaranteed by:
 Identification of all handled substances with their properties in respect of health, safety and environment and keeping a list of all hazardous substances, that is frequently revised
 Identification and determination of tasks, responsibilities and risk assessments for these substances and providing all nessessary recources and safety equippment.
 Exchange of experience and active support of the german Berufsgenossenschaften as well as organisations like Euro Chlor, Verband der Chemischen Industrie (VCI).

Our QHSE-Management system is evaluated each year. Opportunities for improvement are transferred to a Three-Year-Operational Plan, that also is revised and updated each year. On the page environmental report, you can have a look at our planned and achieved targets.
