Taking a bicycle ride along the shore of the Muldestausee or around the Goitzsche: Not so easy with a wheelchair. Not many own a suitable vehicle for that. Akzo Nobel Bitterfeld supported via its corporate Community Program the purchase of such bycicles. Three of these vehicles called "Draisin-Plus" are now available at the Schlaitzer Heidecamp, the Bergwitzsee and the Goitzsche. And there is also a brochure with suitable trips and additional information available. An employee had the idea for this community activity which is exactly what the Community Program is meant for.

It is a pleasure to work in such an atmosphere: The office building has become a little gallery due to an agreement with a society of local artists called "Kreativ e.V. Bitterfeld".  Since 2002, Management supports  the presentation of art work from local artists in the office rooms and hallways for a small fee as compensation. Each year the art society arranges new paintings covering different themes. Over the last years there were  themes like "Painting Techniques", "Landscapes and Floral Motives" and paintings from the nearby city of "Halle an der Saale". Especially the younger artists viewed this city with a twinkle in the eye and integrated some improvements in their paintings. So we see pink blooming trees in front of the  train station in Halle, a square that usually is bleak and the lilac-green painted saline appears in a mesmerising and mysterious mood.
